The Mechromancer class that has been recently teased by Gearbox is available for free to those who pre-order the game. But if you don’t feel the need to pre-order it, it will be available to EVERYONE October 16 for an extra 10 bucks.
On top of that, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford also announced that after the September 18 release of the game, they have 4 new DLC’s to add to the game! Each will be stand alone and not relevant to the story, and will cost an extra 10 bucks a piece. Alternatively, you can get a $30 season pass, which will allow you to obtain all 4 DLC’s.
Gearbox had a story sent to them from a fan named Carlo who told them how a huge Borderlands fan and close friend of his passed away recently due to cancer at the age of 22. Carlo asked Gearbox to make a little eulogy for Michael from CL4P-TP.
They not only made the eulogy (that you can listen to at the link), but they also told Carlo that they’re going to make Michael an NPC in Borderlands 2.
Gearbox Software has just announced that Borderlands 2 is in development! The new issue of Game Informer (seen above) has a world wide premiere article on the game. Gearbox has stated that the game is set for a release of Take Two interactive’s 2013 fiscal year, which starts April 1, 2012 and ends March 31, 2013.
The game will introduce new classes, enemies, and areas of Pandora to explore as you uncover mysteries of the story line and level up.
I’ll pick up the new Game Informer while I’m out today (assuming it’s already out) and see if I can find out more information!
