Good things from today:
- I went to go to the school to register, and I was talking with my grandmother outside. Postal truck comes up and brings me a box. MY DOCTOR WHO SCARF YARN IS HERE.
- Go to the school, and get registered within 15 minutes. AWESOME.
- Go to AMC to get our TDKR tickets. Guy asks “Adult, student, or kids?” I said “students if you can.” and HE COULD. So instead of paying 40 for all of our TDKR tickets, I only paid 28. aawwweeessooommmeee.
Now, the only thing that could make this better is delicious pizza for dinner or something. OH MY GOD MAYBE GO TO THE INWOOD TONIGHT BECAUSE A DANNY BOYLE MOVIE I HAVEN’T SEEN IS PLAYING AND IT STARS CHRISTOPHER ECCLESTON AND EWAN MCGREGOR (Shallow Grave).
So, knitters. I’ve got a few questions.
I know some of you hate seeing Doctor Who stuff in the knitting tag, and if that’s you just ignore this. It’s not that hard. But I need to know. I plan on using the Knit Picks Brava worsted variation of this scarf (Paprika, Wine, and Currant) and the skeins are 218 yards. Any idea how many yards I need for this scarf? I can’t seem to find any site that tells me. Also; I can’t find a site with the needle size either.
Any help would be much appreciated!
tl;dr - How many yards do I need for this scarf, and what size needles should I use?

I finished my ribbed hat I’ve been working on!
My 2x2 ribbed hat so far. not a lot, but it’s the most I’ve ever committed to without wanting to kill myself. I’m past the hard part.
Official knitting pattern for a Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet! In case any knitters out there have been curious enough to make one, but never wanted to freehand a pattern or couldn’t find one.
Another Who Scarf photo. It comes from this journal entry, which may also contain some answers for people who have Writing questions…
(And it may be significant that this year I appear to have fled the winter.)
How can I not reblog a picture of Neil Gaiman in a Doctor Who Scarf (one that he owns, no less!)?
